Repudiation of the violent attack against Zeca Kaingang

The International Movement for a New Museology - MINOM, reaffirming its commitment to human dignity, the right to memory and cultural diversity, expresses its repudiation of the violent attack against Zeca Kaingang, from the Vanuíre Indigenous Land, Arco-Íris, São Paulo, between April 4 and 5, 2020.
Every human life matters, and the life of a man who preserves in his body and in his living the integrality of the culture of his people deserves our respect and protection. In this moment when a valiant Kaingang once again resists and fights for life, in the ICU of Santa Casa de Tupã, we express our solidarity with Zeca, his family and all those who fight for Kaingang existence.
Joining our cry to those who demand justice and reparation, we have strengthened the support and solidarity network for Zeca and other Kaingangs, so that peace and understanding can prevail in the Vanuíre Indigenous Land. We will not allow silence and invisibility to be, once again, at the service of erasing memory and the existence of a people.

O Movimento Internacional para uma Nova Museologia – MINOM, reafirmando seu compromisso com a dignidade humana, o direito à memória e à diversidade cultural, manifesta seu repúdio ao violento atentado cometido contra Zeca Kaingang, da Terra Indígena Vanuíre, Arco-Íris, São Paulo, entre os dias 4 e 5 de abril de 2020.
Cada vida humana importa, e a vida de um homem que preserva em seu corpo e em seu viver a integralidade da cultura de seu povo merece nosso respeito e proteção. Neste momento em que um valoroso Kaingang mais uma vez resiste e luta pela vida, na UTI da Santa Casa de Tupã, manifestamos nossa solidariedade ao Zeca, à sua família e a todos os que lutam pela existência Kaingang.
Juntando nosso grito aos que exigem justiça e reparação, fortalecemos a rede de apoio e solidariedade ao Zeca e demais Kaingangs, para que a paz e o entendimento possam prevalecer na Terra Indígena Vanuíre. Não permitiremos que o silêncio e a invisibilidade estejam, mais uma vez, a serviço do apagamento da memória e da existência de um povo.
