National Historical Museum (Brazil) receives part of the Vila Autódromo debris

On May 18, 2017, in commemoration of its first anniversary, the Museum of Removals donated its collection of debris from the Vila Autodromo to the National Historical Museum of Brazil, which incorporated it into its institutional collection. The MINOM president, Mario de Souza Chagas, was present at the ceremony.

Vila Autódromo

The village was formed in the early 60's. Today. The only original structure left is a church, all the houses and other structures were totally destroyed. Twenty families were able to stay in rebuilt houses after strong popular pressure. They represent 3% of the families of Vila Autódromo. The pieces chosen to be part of the MHN collection are the only remnants of the original Vila Autódromo. The incorporation of this collection in the National Historical Museum is another way to strengthen the Vila Autódromo's permanence in the memory of the city.

Grille

This fragment of grille was from the window of Mainha´s house, located in Gilles Villeneuve Street. Mainha was a very old resident, her father was Mr. Pernambucano, a fisherman who had long been settled in Vila Autódromo, when there were still many fishermen. Because they delayed negotiating the house, it was one of the last to be demolished. Mr. Pernambuco died shortly after negotiating.

Street paving

This hexagonal block was part of the pavement of Adão´s house, which was located on Rua Beira Rio. The house was a residence, but in it also worked the spiritist center. Adam was a marathon runner and died a few months after reading from Víla Autodromo.

Power Meter (Light Clock)

This energy meter from Dona Denise's house is incredibly important because it defines a time, a time, and in 50, 100 or even years. Through this piece we will have the record of the time that was made the removal.

 

No dia 18 de maio de 2017 em comemoração ao seu primeiro aniversário, o Museu das Remoções doou seu acervo escombros da remoção da Vila Autódromo ao Museu Histórico Nacional que o incorporou em sua coleção institucional. O presidente do MINOM, Mario de Souza Chagas, esteve presente na solenidade. 

Vila Autódromo

A Vila teve sua fomação no princípio dos anos 60. Hoje. a única estrutura original que restou é uma igreja, todas as casas e demais estruturas foram totalmente destruídas. Vinte famílias conseguiram permanecer em casas reconstruídas após forte pressão popular. Elas representam 3% das famílias da Vila Autódromo. As peças escolhidas para fazerem parte do acervo do MHN são o único resquício da Vila Autódromo original. A incorporação desse acervo no Museu Histórico Nacional é mais uma maneira de fortalecer a permanência da Vila Autódromo na memória da cidade.

Grade

Este fragmento de grade era da janela da casa de Mainha, situada na Rua Gílles Villeneuve. A Mainha era uma moradora muito antiga, o pai dela era o Sr. Pernambucano, um pescador que se estabeleceu há muito na Vila Autódromo, quando ainda existiam muitos pescadores. Por terem, demorado a negociar a casa foi uma das últimas a serem demolidas. O Sr. Pernambuco morreu pouco depois de negociar.

Calçamento

Este bloco hexagonal era parte do calçamento da casa do Adão, que situava-se na Rua Beira Rio. A casa era uma residência, mas nela também funcionava o centro espírita. Adão era maratonista e veio a falecer poucos meses após ler saido da Víla Autódromo.

Medidor de energia (Relógio de luz)

Este medidor de energia da casa de Dona Denise tem uma importância incrível, pois define um tempo, uma época e daqui a 50, 100 ou quantos anos passem. através desta peça teremos o registro da época em que foi feita a remoção.
